Güterglück is a district of the city of Zerbst / Anhalt in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The village of Güterglück is halfway between Magdeburg and Dessau-Roßlau , only a few kilometers from the cities of Zerbst / Anhalt and Barby . The terrain around Güterglück is mostly flat and gradually slopes off to the west towards Nuthe and Elbe . In terms of natural space , the place belongs to the Zerbster Land , an arable, open cultural landscape and 536 km² main unit of the superordinate main unit group of the Fläming in the north German lowlands . The Zerbster Land forms the southwestern roof of the Fläming to the Elbe and belongs to the catchment area of this river.
history
The original street village was first mentioned in 1228 as Juterclic . The place is a church and parish village . The construction of the biederitz-trebnitz railway and the construction of the Berlin-Blankenheim Railway (leg of the so-called canon train) was in a rail junction with the station Güterglück . This had a positive effect on the development of the place. In addition to the original agriculture, other businesses settled in the place. Güterglück used to belong to the district of Jerichow I in the Prussian province of Saxony . After the Second World War , the place came to the Zerbst district in the new state of Saxony-Anhalt.
Until December 31, 2009 Güterglück was an independent municipality with the associated district of Trebnitz. 721 inhabitants lived on a community area of 10.66 km² (December 31, 2008). On January 1, 2010 the incorporation into Zerbst / Anhalt took place . Moritz Schwerin was the last mayor of Güterglück.

The coat of arms was approved on April 12, 1994 by the Dessau Regional Council and registered in the Magdeburg State Archives under the coat of arms roll number 24/1995.

The coat of arms of the community of Güterglück was developed in 1989 by a heraldic society. The coat of arms goes back to an old seal, which shows a linden tree. Due to the linden trees already present in the coat of arms in many places, only a blunt branch with a three-leaved linden branch is shown here, based on the linden tree. The colors are freely chosen. The coat of arms was designed by the Heraldic Society "Black Lion" Leipzig and registered on May 15, 1989 in the Quedlinburg coat of arms under QWR II / 89029.
Culture and sights
The place has a home animal park around a pond. Ducks, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, sheep can or could already be viewed here. The animal enclosure is an integral part of the townscape. The zoo is open around the clock and has a feeder.
The St. Benedict Church is located in Güterglück , the tower of which dates from the Romanesque period .
At the special school (LB) "HE Stötzner" there is a memorial stone placed in 1975 to commemorate the communist anti-Nazi opponent who was murdered in Brandenburg-Görden in 1944 . The school was inaugurated in 2003.

railway station
Güterglück station was the junction of the Biederitz – Trebnitz lines (part of the Magdeburg – Dessau connection) and Berlin – Blankenheim (part of the Kanonenbahn ). The station is built as a tower station. After the Kanonenbahn was closed, Güterglück is only a stop for the regional trains from Magdeburg and Dessau. The freight transport facilities are no longer in operation.

In Güterglück, the Biederitz – Trebnitz ( Magdeburg - Dessau-Roßlau ) and the Berlin – Blankenheim ( Potsdam - Bad Belzig - Calbe (Saale) ) railway line, which has now been closed, cross . The Güterglück station was a tower station . The Wiesenburg (Mark) –Güterglück– Güsten section was closed in December 2004. Güterglück is now served by regional trains on the Magdeburg – Dessau line every two hours. In addition, some amplifier trains run between Güterglück and Dessau.
From Schora there is a road connection from the federal road 184 via Güterglück to the Elbe ferry ( Gierseilfähre ) to Barby .
