Zschauitz is a district of the community of Seelitz in the Saxon district of central Saxony . It was incorporated into Gröbschütz on July 1, 1950 , with which the place came to Seelitz on March 1, 1974.

history

Zschauitz was mentioned in 1325 as "Schowitz". Regarding the manorial rule , the place belonged to the council of Rochlitz , the parish of Rochlitz and the manor of Gepülzig . From 1764 to 1856, Zschauitz belonged as an administrative village to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Rochlitz . Ecclesiastically, Zschauitz has always belonged to the parish of Großmilkau , now part of Milkau . The offices were dissolved during the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Saxony in the 19th century . As a result, Zschauitz came under the administration of the Rochlitz court office in 1856 and in 1875 under the newly established Rochlitz administration .

Zschauitz was incorporated into Gröbschütz on July 1, 1950 , with which the place came to the Seelitz community on March 1, 1974. As a result of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, Zschauitz, as a district of the community of Gröbschütz or Seelitz, was incorporated into the Rochlitz district in the Chemnitz district (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Rochlitz district of Saxony from 1990 and 1994 in the newly formed Mittweida district and in 2008 in the central Saxony district.
