The village of Fischheim was mentioned in 1350 under the name Vyschen and as early as 1378 under the name Fyschheym . With regard to the basic rule was one fish home in 1548 pro rata to the Council Rochlitz , the parish Seelitz, the manor Zetteritz and as office Village for office Rochlitz . From 1764 to 1856 the place belonged as an official village to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Rochlitz. Ecclesiastically the place has always been parish after Seelitz. The offices were dissolved during the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Saxony in the 19th century . As a result, Fischheim came under the administration of the Rochlitz court office in 1856 and in 1875 under the newly established Rochlitz administration .

On July 1, 1950, Fischheim was incorporated into Steudten . As a result of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, Fischheim was incorporated as a district of the municipality of Steudten into the Rochlitz district in the Chemnitz district (renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Saxon district of Rochlitz from 1990 and was newly formed in 1994 District Mittweida and in 2008 in the District Central Saxony. With the incorporation of the municipality of Steudten into Seelitz, Fischheim has been part of the greater municipality of Seelitz since January 1, 1994.
