Gröblitz is a part of the municipality of Seelitz in the Saxon district of Central Saxony . It was incorporated on July 1, 1950.

Geographical location

Gröblitz is located in the center of the large community of Seelitz, northeast of the main town of Seelitz. To the east of the village there is a tributary of the Aubach , which drains into the Zwickauer Mulde . The state road 250 leads southwest past the place.

history

The square village of Gröblitz was mentioned in 1350 as "Grobelicz". Regarding the manorial rule , the place belonged to the council of Rochlitz , the parish of Rochlitz, the parish of Seelitz, the manor Döhlen -Neutaubenheim and as an official village to the office of Rochlitz . Around 1764 only the manor Döhlen-Neutaubenheim and the Rochlitz office are still occupied as landlords. Ecclesiastically, Gröblitz has always been part of Seelitz. Until 1856 Gröblitz belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Rochlitz. The offices were dissolved during the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Saxony in the 19th century . As a result, Gröblitz came under the administration of the Rochlitz court office in 1856 and in 1875 under the newly established Rochlitz administration .

Gröblitz was incorporated into Seelitz on July 1, 1950. As a result of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, Gröblitz was incorporated as a district of the Seelitz community into the Rochlitz district in the Chemnitz district (renamed Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued as the Rochlitz district of Saxony from 1990 and the newly formed in 1994 Mittweida district and 2008 in the central Saxony district.
