Zufre is a municipality in the province of Huelva in the region of Andalusia in southern Spain . On January 1, 2019 it had 808 inhabitants, on an area of 341 km². The municipality is located in the north of the province, in the western foothills of the Sierra Morena at an altitude of 450 m above sea level. NN, about 130 km from the provincial capital Huelva .
The city has Arabic origins, which can be seen, for example, in the origin of the name “Sufre” (Arabic for tribute ) and the classic layout of the ancient Islamic cities.
