Villablanca ( Spanish White Country House ) is a Spanish municipality in the province of Huelva in Andalusia . It has 2,848 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) and is located about 60 km west of the provincial capital Huelva and about 15 kilometers by road from the Portuguese border.
In contrast to other places in Andalusia that are not on the sea or in the immediate vicinity of the sea, Villablanca has a high proportion of foreigners living there permanently, with the English making up the majority. There are also Germans, Dutch and members of many other nations, which gives the small town a flair of internationality.
Every year in August the "Festival de danza" takes place there over several days, where folklore and dance groups from all over the world perform on a large stage in the center of town.
The singer Blanca Villa, who is very well known in Spain, also comes from Villablanca.
