Jabugo ham

Jabugo is a municipality and a village in the Spanish province of Huelva ( Andalusia ).

It is located in the Sierra de Aracena .

It is best known for its ham . This is obtained from the pata negras , the black Iberian pigs . These semi-wild pigs live outdoors and feed on the acorns of the hard oak and cork oak as much as possible . This diet gives the ham its delicious flavor .
