Álvaro Medrán Just (born March 15, 1994 in Dos Torres , Cordoba Province ) is a Spanish football player . His preferred position is the central midfield .

Club career

Álvaro Medrán began his junior career with Don Bosco CF , a club from Córdoba . After further stints in the youth team of FC Córdoba and Séneca Club de Fútbol , the then 17-year-old Medrán joined the youth team at Real Madrid in 2011 , where he started out in the U-18 team ( Juvenil B ). In the 2012/13 season he was in the squad of the A-youth, but denied in parallel games for the C-team of "Royal" in the Segunda División B . On February 23, 2014, he made his debut for the club's second team, Real Madrid Castilla , in the second division , where he scored two goals in nine appearances.

On October 18, 2014, he made his first appearance in Real Madrid's senior squad in a league game against Levante UD . On December 9, 2014, Medrán made his UEFA Champions League debut when he came on for Gareth Bale in the 83rd minute of a 4-0 win in the last group game against Ludogorez Razgrad and the 4-0 in the 88th minute. Final score scored. In December 2014, Medrán was nominated for the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup squad. But he was not used when winning.

For the season 2015/16 he moved on loan to Getafe , a year later permanently to Valencia . In September 2017 he moved to Deportivo Alavés on loan .

National team

Álvaro Medrán celebrated his first game for the Spanish U-19 national team on March 20, 2013 in a friendly against Germany . In June of this year he also played the elite round to qualify for the U-19 European Football Championship 2013 with his national selection , but he was not in the squad for the finals of the continental tournament.
