The X630 is a railroad maintenance vehicle - number of the Austrian Federal Railways .

history

Increased work requirements as well as changed operating conditions required a modified vehicle that could cope with the new requirements when ordering additional superstructure cars . The powershift transmissions were mostly overloaded in harder use, but reaching a top speed of 100 km / h quickly and a higher engine output were required. These requirements could best be met by the Robel track car "BAMOWAG 54.22-28" with hydrodynamic gearbox , which was slightly further developed from vehicles delivered to Norway : New compared to the X628 series are an air-conditioned driver's cab and a large, low-floor loading area. Both the crane and the vehicle can be controlled remotely. The rail service vehicles of the X630 series have Sifa , Indusi I60R with PZB90 function, train radio as well as technical radio and GPS reminder system for train control. All vehicles have an indirect brake and a spring-loaded brake.

commitment

The vehicles are stationed throughout Austria at the "Facilities Service Center" of the "Integrated Route Management" division of ÖBB-Infrastruktur.
