All Together Now ( English ; "now all together") is a song by the Beatles from 1964 (year of the copyright of the music publisher Northern Song), which first appeared later on the album Yellow Submarine . The composition of the song is attributed to Lennon / McCartney , although most of it was written by Paul McCartney .

The text is simple, similar to that of the title Yellow Submarine . The song is reminiscent of Skiffle with its simple arrangement with acoustic guitar , electric bass and bass drum . McCartney is a singer, the backing vocals took on John Lennon and George Harrison .

The recording and mixing took place on May 12, 1967. It took six hours and nine takes to completely record the song. However, the title was only released on January 17, 1969, when the song appeared on the soundtrack album.

In the film Yellow Submarine , the song first appears in an animated sequence and is later started again by the "real" Beatles at the end of the film.

While the Beatles were in India , they sang a different version in which, in honor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the line “E, F, G, H, I, J, I love you” in “E, F, G, H, I, Jai Guru Dev ”.

Football fans in the UK sang the song during football matches in the stadium. Verizon Wireless used the song in a 2002 commercial . Ten years later, the car manufacturer Fiat advertised its 500L model with a short version of the title sung by a children's choir .
