Beatles VI is the ninth album released in the US by the British band The Beatles . It was released on June 14, 1965. It is the seventh album by the Beatles, which was distributed by Capitol Records .

Emergence

The album Beatles VI was the sixth studio album released in the USA by Capitol Records ( Introducing… The Beatles was released by Vee-Jay Records and A Hard Day's Night was released by United Artists , The Beatles' Story is a documentary album ) and reached number one the US Billboard 200 , where it stayed for six weeks, making it their fifth number 1 album. In January 1997, the album went platinum in the United States for one million copies sold.

The Beatles VI album contains the six songs from the British album Beatles for Sale that did not appear on the Beatles '65 album . The album also contains the following three songs from the British album Help! which was not due to appear in Great Britain until August 6, 1965: You Like Me Too Much , Dizzy Miss Lizzy and Tell Me What You See . The track Yes It Is is the B-side of the single Ticket to Ride and the song Bad Boy was only released in Great Britain on December 10, 1966 on the compilation album A Collection of Beatles Oldies .

The single Eight Days a Week became the seventh number 1 hit in the US charts.

The album was released in a mono and a stereo version. No changes have been made to the mono version, it contains the British mono mixes. Yes It Is was mixed in a duophonic version ( fake stereo) for the stereo version of the album .

The album was also released in Canada on June 14, 1965 and in Japan on September 25, 1970 .

In the UK, the album was made for export in late 1965 (catalog number: CPCS-104).

The album Beatles VI was first released on CD in April 2006 as part of the box The Capitol Albums Vol. 2 . The CD contains the mono and the stereo version of the album. In January 2014, the Beatles VI was re-released as part of the CD box The US Albums . It was also released separately and again contains the mono and stereo versions of the album. While the original submasters from Capitol Records and not the original masters from Abbey Road Studios were used in the boxes The Capitol Albums Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 , the albums in The US Albums Box were essentially remastered from the British in September 2009 Mono and stereo tapes used. The album has been available as a download from iTunes since January 17, 2014 .
