Beatles for Sale (No. 2) ( English Beatles for sale [No. 2] ). is an EP released on June 4, 1965 by the British rock band The Beatles . It is the ninth EP of the Beatles to be released on Parlophone (catalog number GEP 8938). All four tracks on the EP come from the Beatles for Sale album . The EP was only released in mono .

The EP Beatles for Sale (No. 2) was released six months after the album Beatles for Sale was released in December 1964.

On June 12, 1965, the EP entered the UK EP charts; Overall, Beatles for Sale (No. 2) stayed in the EP charts for 24 weeks and reached number 5. The EP was unable to place in the British singles charts.

In Great Britain, in contrast to Germany, no single was released from the album Beatles for Sale , instead the two EPs Beatles for Sale and Beatles for Sale (No. 2) . While the first EP contains songs that were top ten single hits in Germany and the USA, the second EP Beatles for Sale (No. 2) does not contain any international hits.

Re-releases

The EP Beatles for Sale (No. 2) was pressed until the 1970s. In December 1981, the EP was released as part of the The Beatles EPs Collection box set , which included all UK EPs. On May 26, 1992, this set was released with the slightly changed title The Beatles Compact Disc EP. Collection as CD edition.
