The Beatles' Million Sellers ( English million sales of the Beatles ) is an EP released on December 6, 1965 by the British rock band The Beatles . It was the Beatles' tenth EP to be released on Parlophone (catalog number GEP 8946). All four titles on the EP were single hits in Great Britain, each of which sold more than a million times there. The EP was only released in mono .

background

The EP The Beatles' Million Sellers was released three days after the release of the album Rubber Soul and the single We Can Work It Out  / Day Tripper and was a compilation EP containing four single A-pages, of which Britain sold over a million copies each:

  1. She Loves You: 1,600,000 copies
  2. I Want to Hold Your Hand: 1,500,000 copies
  3. Can't Buy Me Love: 1,250,000 copies
  4. I Feel Fine: 1,000,000 copies

The fifth British million seller A Hard Day's Night was not selected for the EP ; the single We Can Work It Out  / Day Tripper should also sell more than a million copies in the UK.

On December 11, 1965, the EP entered the UK EP charts; Overall, The Beatles' Million Sellers stayed in the EP charts for 26 weeks and reached number 1. The EP could not place in the British singles charts.

The original plan was to release an EP called Golden Discs in 1964 , which would contain Beatles hits. A publication was not realized, but the title Golden Discs was erroneously printed on the label of the first edition of the EP The Beatles' Million Sellers .
