All My Loving ( english All my love ) is published on February 7, 1964 EP of the British rock band The Beatles . It was the Beatles' fourth EP to be released on Parlophone (catalog number GEP 8891). It appeared exclusively in mono .

The timing of their fourth UK EP release coincided with the arrival of the Beatles in the US. They landed in New York on February 7, 1964 to make their first appearances there. With I Want to Hold Your Hand , their fifth British single, the Beatles had now made their breakthrough in the USA. Her second album With the Beatles was released in Great Britain in November 1963 and has topped the British album charts since then. At the time the EP All My Loving was released , the three previously released Beatles EPs were number 2, 4 and 5 on the EP charts. All My Loving's top ranking was # 1, which it held for eight weeks. All My Loving stayed in the EP charts for a total of 44 weeks, including 27 weeks in the top 5. In the singles charts, the EP reached number 12 in the Melody Maker and up to number 13 in the New Musical Express (NME).

Cover design

The photo of the cover is from Robert Freeman . It's the photo that was already used for the cover of the album With the Beatles , albeit a little lighter in print. On the back of the cover is an accompanying text from Tony Barrow, the Beatles' press officer.

Track list

When compiling this EP, the record company used two songs from the then current album With the Beatles and the B-sides of the first two Beatles singles. Three pieces were compositions by John Lennon and Paul McCartney , one song on the second page was a cover version . Both B-sides were also included on the album Please Please Me . A total of twelve of the fourteen songs on this album were used for the Beatles' first four EPs.

* McCartney was named first in the Beatles' early releases. Only on the single She Loves You did the name change to Lennon / McCartney.

Re-releases

The EP All My Loving was pressed until the 1970s. In December 1981, the EP was released as part of the The Beatles EPs Collection box set , which included all UK EPs. On May 26, 1992, this set was released with the slightly changed title The Beatles Compact Disc EP. Collection as CD edition.
