(17407) Teige is an asteroid of the main middle belt . It was discovered on October 14, 1987 by the Czech astronomer Antonín Mrkos at the Kleť Observatory ( IAU code 046) near Český Krumlov .

The mean diameter of the asteroid is calculated to be around 9 kilometers. The albedo of 0.065 (± 0.009) suggests a dark surface. At 0.2721, its orbit around the sun is highly eccentric .

(17407) Teige was named on November 14, 2016 after the Czech critic , art theorist , publicist , artist and translator Karel Teige (1900–1951).
