(3027) Shavarsh ( 1978 PQ 2 ; 1952 SA 1 ; 1974 VV ) is an approximately 13 kilometers large asteroid of the central main belt , which was discovered on August 20, 1982 by the Russian (then: Soviet Union ) astronomer Nikolai Stepanowitsch Tschernych at the Crimean Observatory (branch Nautschnyj) was discovered on the Crimean peninsula ( IAU code 095). It belongs to the Misa family , a group of asteroids named after (569) Misa .
designation
(3027) Shavarsh was prepared following the Soviet- Armenian fins float and lifesaver Shavarsh Karapetyan designated (* 1953). He became known when he rescued over 20 people in an accident involving the Yerevan trolleybus from Lake Yerevan .
