The 2:30 hour race on the Nürburgring 1999 , also DMC / ADAC Sports Car Festival (SportRacing World Cup), Nürburgring , took place on September 5th at the Nürburgring and was the seventh round of the FIA sports car championship of that year .

The race

After an interruption of eight years, an international sports car race took place at the Nürburgring again . As part of the Sports Car World Championship in 1991 , a 430 km race was held that ended with the overall victory of David Brabham and Derek Warwick in the Jaguar XJR-14 .

In 1999 the race distance was again 430 kilometers, which resulted from the race duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The race ended with the overall victory of Jean-Marc Gounon and Éric Bernard in the DAMS - Lola B98 / 10, who had a narrow lead of 15 seconds over the Ferrari 333SP of Christian Pescatori and Emanuele Moncini .
