The 2. HNL 2013/14 was the 23rd season of the second Croatian football league . The season started on August 17, 2013 and ended on May 17, 2014.

The league was reduced to 12 clubs from this season. The teams competed against each other in three rounds, so that 33 match days had to be completed. The teams that finished in the first six places after 22 games had an additional six home games, the teams in the lower six places had five home games.

The first in the table rose directly, the second played against the penultimate of the 1st HNL in the relegation. The last two teams were relegated to the 3rd HNL .
