The 2. HNL 2012/13 was the 22nd season of the second Croatian football league . The season started on August 18, 2012 and ended on June 1, 2013.

The first in the table rose to the 1st HNL , the teams in the last five places in the table were relegated. At the same time HNK Šibenik was denied the license for the following season and also had to relegate to the third division. NK Vinogradar withdrew after the season and was relegated to the fifth division.
