The 2. HNL 2010/11 was the 20th season of the second Croatian football league . The season started on August 21, 2010 and ended on May 29, 2011.

mode

The league was increased to 16 clubs for this season. These competed against each other twice on 30 match days.

Of the first three teams, only NK Lučko Zagreb rose to the 1st HNL . The first division license for champions HNK Gorica was revoked by the Croatian Football Association after a complaint by the penultimate of the 1st HNL, NK Istra in 1961 . Third place, NK Pomorac Kostrena , had also tried in vain to get a license for the first division through an arbitration tribunal .

Only the two bottom of the table were relegated to the 3rd HNL , as only two clubs in the third division had managed to obtain a second division license.
