21. San Marine Cabinet

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 21st cabinet consisted of Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese (PDCS) and Partito Comunista Sammarinese (PCS) and ruled San Marino from July 26, 1986 to July 6, 1988.

After eight years, the left-wing coalition made up of the PCS, Partito Socialista Unitario (PSU) and Partito Socialista Sammarinese (PSS) broke up when the communist ministers announced their resignation on July 11, 1986. After the other two coalition partners withdrew their ministers from the cabinet, the Christian Democrats, the strongest party, were tasked with forming a new government. On July 24th, the agreement was announced between Christian Democrats and Communists, each with five ministers. The coalition continued after the parliamentary elections in 1988 and 1992 and did not end until 1993.

List of ministers

The San Marinese constitution has no head of government; in the diplomatic protocol, the foreign minister takes on the role of head of government.
