26. San Marine Cabinet

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 26th cabinet consisted of Partito Democratico Cristiano Sammarinese (PDCS), Partito Progressista Democratico Sammarinese - Idea in Movimento - Convenzione Democratica (PPDS – IM – CD) and Socialisti per le Riforme (SpR) and ruled San Marino from March 28th 2000 to July 12, 2001.

The previous government consisting of the PDCS and Partito Socialista Sammarinese (PSS) broke up when the PSS ministers left the cabinet on February 28, 2000, whereupon the PDCS ministers also announced their resignation. As a result, the PSS left the government and was replaced by the PPDS – IM – CD list and the SpR, which was split off from the PSS in 1997.

The government fell into a crisis ten months later when the PDCS announced its exit from the cabinet, which took place in February. However, the PDCS, charged with forming a new government, did not succeed in forming a new government together with the PSS. Therefore, there were new elections on June 10, 2001, after which the PDCS and PSS formed the new government .
