Events

  • Empire of China / Time of the Three Kingdoms : In response to the deposition of Wei Emperor Cao Fang in the previous year, the warlord Guanqiu Jian and his troops are rehearsing the uprising in Shouchun, which is also joined by warlord Wen Qin.
  • Jiang Wei almost succeeds in conquering the Wei border town of Didao for Shu China . This was preceded by a major victory against the actually overpowering competitor.
  • Regent Sima Shi assumes command of the troops that are supposed to put down the uprising in Shouchun despite an eye problem. Wuqiu Jian and his family are executed, Wen Qin has to flee to Wu-China . After Wen Qin's son Wen Yuan was attacked, Sima Shi's eye disease worsened and he died within a month.
  • After Sima Shi's death, Emperor Cao Mao tries to strengthen his power against the Sima clan. He orders Sima Shi's brother Sima Zhao , who is in Xuchang, to pursue the remaining insurgents. Contrary to his orders, Sima Zhao leads his troops to the capital Luoyang and takes over the office of regent there.
  • Wu regent Sun Jun suddenly falls ill and appoints his cousin Sun Lin as his successor. He dies soon after. Dissatisfied with Sun Jun's succession plan, General Lu Ju publicly appoints Teng Yin as regent. Sun Lin succeeds in defeating the insurgents. Teng Yin and his family are executed. General Lu Ju commits suicide.
