ALBISA HUGAR was a Spanish manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

José Ramón Almagro and Antonio Bienvenida were the directors of Albisa, the Spanish Simca-Chrysler importer based in Madrid . José Ramón Almagro and Antonio Bienvenida started producing automobiles in Madrid in 1969 and were supported by Simca . Ricardo Huertas was the designer. After a serious accident at the Rallye de Avila, Simca-Chrysler withdrew its support for the project. Production ended at the end of 1972.

The only model was the ARH Cóndor. It was a coupe with a fiberglass body . The four-cylinder engine with either 1200 cm³ or 1600 cm³ displacement produced up to 125 hp and came from Simca. The vehicles were also used in sports car races and rallies. A total of eight vehicles were produced, including the racing versions.

A vehicle of this brand can be seen at the Collecció d'Automòbils de Salvador Claret car museum in Sils .
