Aspid is the trading name of the Spanish automaker IFR Automotive, SL. It is based in Reus near Tarragona , Catalonia , Spain . It was founded in 2003 by Ignacio Fernández Rodríguez.

The name comes from the snake species ( víbora áspid ) that occurs in Catalonia.

Aspid SS

The company's only current model bears the same name as the company itself, Aspid. It is a super seven-style two-seater and is available with engines from 270 to 404 hp. The vehicle weighs 740 kg and has a four-cylinder engine of Honda , optionally with or without a turbocharger . The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is specified in less than three seconds.
