Cyclecars José Boniquet Riera was a Spanish manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The dentist and racing driver José Boniquet Riera founded the company in Madrid in 1921 and began producing automobiles. The brand name was JBR , derived from the name of the company founder. Production ended in 1923 when the company went bankrupt . Riera made a second attempt as an automobile manufacturer in 1924 with the Storm .
vehicles
The company manufactured cyclecars . In the prototype , the power was transmitted via belts, in the series models via a cardan shaft . A two-cylinder engine from MAG and a four-cylinder engine from Ruby with a displacement of 904 cm³ were available for the drive . There were the body styles torpedo , sedan and open two-seater. The vehicles were also used successfully in races. Riera won a class in the Armangué race in 1923 .
