Clúa 500

Clúa was a car brand from Spain . The manufacturer of the vehicles was the motorcycle factory Construcciones Metálicas Clúa from Barcelona . Small cars were built there between 1955 and 1962 (according to other sources until 1959).

The drive was a two-cylinder two- stroke engine with either 247 cm³ or 350 cm³ displacement , which was installed in front of the front axle and powered the front wheels. From 1956 a two-cylinder four-stroke engine with a displacement of 497 cm³ was also available, producing 17 hp . The open plastic body based on a design by the Spanish bodywork company Serra offered space for two occupants.

As with so many Spanish small cars of the 1950s , the great success of the Seat 600 brought production to an end after around 100 units had been produced.

A vehicle was exhibited in 2003 in the Museo Historica Automoción, Fundación Gómez Planche in Salamanca , Spain.
