Construcciones de Automóviles Izaro Srl. was a Spanish automobile manufacturer .

Company history

Don José Azqueta was from the island of Izaro . Another source deviates from the name Amezqueta. He headed the company based in Madrid . From 1920 he manufactured automobiles that were marketed as Izaro . Production ended in 1922.

In the 21st century, a descendant planned to use the brand name again with the new company Izaro Automóviles .

vehicles

The company manufactured small cars. There was a choice of three - cylinder two-stroke engines and four-cylinder four - stroke engines . They had between 600 cm³ and 750 cm³ displacement . Other sources name a displacement of 600 cm³ and 700 cm³.

On October 16, 1921, two vehicles were used in a car race in Vilafranca del Penedès . Drivers were Joaquín Carreras and Ruperto Andía, according to a source. Another source names D. Azqueta as the driver and does not name the second driver.
