Company history

The company Industrias Motorizadas Onieva SA from Madrid , under the direction of Rafael Onieva Ariza, has been manufacturing motorcycles since 1952 when it presented a car at a trade fair in Barcelona in 1958 . While automobile production ended in mid-1959, motorcycle production continued until 1967.

motorcycles

The motorcycles were powered by Hispano Villiers two-stroke engines . Engines with 49 cm³, 198 cm³ and 325 cm³ displacement were available.

Automobiles

The only self-developed model was a scooter mobile , a coupe with three wheels with the single wheel at the rear. It was similar to the BMW Isetta , but had a longer wheelbase and a longer rear overhang. The interior offered space for two people. A single-cylinder two-stroke engine from Hispano Villiers with a capacity of 197 cm³ or a two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 250 cm³ and an output of 15 hp provided the drive . The engine was mounted in the rear and drove the rear wheel. Only six copies were made, at least one of which still exists today.

In addition, twelve copies of a four- wheel flatbed truck that resembled the Farmobil were made in 1960 . A BMW two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 600 cm³ propelled the vehicle.
