Automóviles Landa was a Spanish manufacturer of motorcycles and automobiles .

Company history

Juan A. de Landaluce founded in 1916 in Madrid the company Talleres Landaluce and began production of motorcycles and automobiles. From 1923 the company was called Sociedad Española de Automóviles Landa . In 1930 production ended after around 400 copies were made. The brand name was Landa .

Automobiles

In the first 7 HP model, it was powered by its own two-cylinder two - stroke engine with 735 cm³ displacement (76 mm bore , 81 mm stroke ) and 12 HP power. The following model 9 HP was a sports car. Bore and stroke had been increased to 90 mm each. The displacement was 1145 cm³ and the power was 20 hp. A vehicle of this type won the Cuesta del Alto de los Leones hill climb in 1920 . In 1921 a model followed with a four-cylinder four - stroke engine from Lycoming , 3160 cm³ displacement and 32 hp. After 1923, only a small number of models with six-cylinder Lycoming engines with 4741 cc and 47 hp output were produced. These vehicles were primarily used as taxis , hearses, and fire trucks.
