Treatises of the Hamburg Colonial Institute

Die Abhandlungen des Hamburgisches Kolonialinstitut is a series of academic books published by the Hamburg Colonial Institute, which was published by Verlag Friederichsen in Hamburg from 1910 to 1921 .

A total of 43 issues were published in several sub-series. The first volume to be published is the work Crafts and Industry in East Africa, Cultural History Considerations by Franz Stuhlmann (1863–1928) from 1910; the last one is the Schambala dictionary by F. Lang-Heinrich (treatises of the Hamburg Colonial Institute; 43: Series B, Ethnology, Cultural History and Languages; 23) from 1921. The series was incorporated into the treatises from the field of foreign studies .
