Career

In the club

The striker had been active in the youth teams of Amis Luanga in the Congo and TSV Venne in Germany before joining the VfL first team in the Regionalliga Nord via the youth teams of VfL Osnabrück , for which he was on November 3, 2001 (15 . Matchday) of the 2001/02 season made his debut against Chemnitzer FC . It was not until the 2002/03 season that Menga completed seven more regional league appearances and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with VfL Osnabrück . On the 14th matchday of the 2003/04 season Menga scored his first two goals against Alemannia Aachen for VfL, who were relegated to the regional league at the end of the season. There Menga developed into a regular player and scored 33 goals in 90 missions in three seasons, with 15 goals in the 2006/07 season contributing to Osnabrück's rise again. In addition, he shot VfL with two goals in the 2-1 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach on October 25, 2006 in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup, after he had scored his first goal in the competition in the first round. As a result, Bundesliga promoted Hansa Rostock became aware of Menga and signed him for the 2007/08 season after 114 competitive appearances for Osnabrück, including twelve in the second Bundesliga and four in the DFB Cup.

In Rostock Menga played primarily for the second team, with which he rose from the Oberliga Nordost to the Regionalliga . With the first team, however, he was relegated from the Bundesliga to the 2nd Bundesliga. After Rostock was in danger of relegation again during the first half of the 2008/09 season , Menga was deleted as one of four players from the Ostseestädter squad for the winter break. On January 7, 2009, he signed a contract with Werder Bremen and played in the U-23, for which he was on the pitch 43 times and scored seven goals.

For the 2010/11 season Menga then moved to SV Wehen Wiesbaden , for whom he made his debut on July 24, 2010 under coach Gino Lettieri in the game against SpVgg Unterhaching .

After his contract with SV Wehen Wiesbaden was not extended in the summer of 2012, Menga was without a club. In September 2012 he took part in a trial training session at the third division team Preußen Münster and was then put under contract until the end of the 2012/13 season . At the end of the season he did not receive a new contract in Münster.

In July 2013 he switched to VfB Oldenburg . There he scored all six goals of his team in the first three league games. After Menga had become the top scorer in the Regionalliga Nord in the 2013/14 season with a total of 23 goals in 32 games for VfB Oldenburg , he returned to VfL Osnabrück for the 2014/15 season .

Because of the involvement in a manipulation attempt in the run-up to the last VfL season game 2016/17 against SC Paderborn, which came from Tobias Willers and in which Marc Heider was also involved, Menga was judged by the DFB sports court during the summer break of 2017 for "unsporting behavior “Sentenced to four games suspension and a fine of 2,000 euros. However, Menga appealed against this judgment. After three seasons in Osnabrück, Menga will move to the regional league team BSV Rehden for the 2017/18 season .

In the national team

On May 22, 2010 Menga made his national team debut for the DR Congo. He was substituted on in a friendly against Saudi Arabia .
