The Adler Rüm Hart is a catamaran from the Wyker steam ship shipping company Föhr-Amrum .

history

The ship was designed by Conoship International in Groningen and ordered in autumn 2017. The building contract was signed with the Talsma shipyard in Franeker . However, as the shipyard was unable to meet the contractual conditions, the TB Shipyards Harlingen shipyard took over the construction contract.

The ship was built as Rüm Hart under construction number 116 for the Wyker steam ship shipping company Föhr-Amrum. The made to reduce weight aluminum hull was from in Makkum delivered based businesses Bloemsma. The completion and handover took place on May 8, 2019. The ship was christened on May 15 in Wyk auf Föhr .

The ship is chartered to the shipping company Adler- Schiff and is used by them with the charter name Adler Rüm Hart in the North Frisian Wadden Sea between Föhr , Amrum , Hooge , Langeneß and Dagebüll .

Technical data and equipment

The ship is powered by two Volvo Penta - Diesel engines (type: D16MH) each with 478  kW power driven, the two fixed-pitch propellers act. It reaches a speed of around 18  knots , so that the 16 knots permitted in the Wadden Sea can also be reached when sailing against the current. The engines are housed in the two hulls of the ship. The ship is equipped with two bow thrusters , each with an output of 24 kW. Two diesel generator sets, each with 28 kW output (35  kVA apparent power ) are available for power generation.

The ship is approved for 250 passengers. There is space for 150 passengers inside the ship, and 100 more passengers can be seated on the outside deck. 162 passengers can be carried during the winter months. Entry and exit are via the bow area, where a landside ferry bridge can be built or via a gangway from the side .
