Aero Chord (real name Alex Vlastaras ; born November 8, 1991 ) is a Greek music producer and DJ who mainly produces trap , but also other styles of music in EDM .

history

Aero Chord started his career in 2011. Vlastaras spoke in his 2013 interview with Your EDM about the origins of the name Aero Chord and said: “Well, my name was not easy to decide. It took me at least 2 months. I looked through name generators and endlessly combined their outputs until something good, meaningful, and unique came up. When I saw Aero Chord it just clicked. I started producing at the age of 14, inspired by a cousin of mine, I did Goa and psy-trance back then and helped myself with my first steps with Reason. I haven't played as an aero chord very often in my life, I just knew I had to go through productions to get recognition, so I didn't see the point. ”Since the beginning of his musical career, Vlastaras has been under contract and publishing with Monstercat numerous songs on the label, most recently "Resistance" and "Borneo" (the latter alongside producer Wolfgang Gartner ).

Career

Vlastaras has released his music on Monstercat , High Intensity, Trap and Bass and other record labels. His tracks are often played at festivals by other popular electronic music artists such as Diplo , Skrillex , DJ Snake and RL Grime .

After playing at festivals like Spring Awakening and Carnival of Bass, Vlastaras started his first North American tour in June 2015.

Vlastara's track "Surface" was popularized at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2015 through YouTube video intros, entertainment videos from various YouTube personalities and the need for speed gameplay demo . As of October 17, 2016, over 35 million views were counted on YouTube. "Ctrl Alt Destruction", "Boundless" and "Break Them" are also commonly used in various YouTube videos.

In April 2017, "Surface" was the first of his songs to be awarded gold.
