Agent im Kreuzfeuer (original title Agent Under Fire ) is a video game released by Electronic Arts in 2001. It was the first EA game to use the James Bond license without a film template with a fictional story. It is assigned to the genre first-person shooter .

action

CIA agent Zoe Nightshade disappeared during an investigation by Malprave Industries. Agent 007 is sent out to rescue the agent from the clutches of the henchman Nigel Bloch and to secure a DNA sample that could threaten world peace . James Bond relies on equipment from Department Q such as the Q-Claw, Q-Decoder and his Wolfram P2K. James Bond must u. a. infiltrate a genetic laboratory and engage in chases on the streets of Bucharest or Hong Kong. The highlight is a trip in a tank , where you have to quickly discover the opponents (armed with rocket launchers) who are holed up on the roofs.

technology

The game was a further development of its predecessor The World Is Not Enough , which was released in 2000. There should be a PlayStation 2 variant of the predecessor, of which there were already pictures, but no longer published. This is how the Engine Agent was developed in the crossfire. As in previous game implementations, Agent in the Crossfire was divided into run and driving level. Here you could control the BMW Z8 , BMW 750iL and the Aston Martin DB5 . The silencer could be screwed on and off at the push of a button. Each weapon had a second weapon mode in the same way.

Weapons equipment

The weapons used in the game have real templates but fictional names.

particularities

In contrast to its predecessor, the game had not received a license to depict the likeness of the then James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan . So a Bond agent was created that offered a mix of all Bond actors.
