Akocak (kurd. Heleyîs) is a village in the district of Yüksekova in the Turkish province of Hakkâri . Akocak is located at 2050 m above sea level, about 20 km northwest of Yüksekova. In 2009 Akocak had 800 inhabitants in around 100 households.

The original name was Heleis.

Akocak has a primary school. The names of the hamlets ( mezra ) that belong to Akocak are Olukbaşı (Hirçkûs), Köşk (Koçkê) and Sülük (Sulk). Akocak and the surrounding area are the scene of armed clashes between Turkish security forces and the PKK. Children are also injured by playing with duds.
