Büyükçiftlik ( Turkish for large farm ), (Kurd. Xirvata ) is a municipality in the Yüksekova district of the Turkish province of Hakkâri . Büyükçiftlik is located in southeastern Anatolia at 1,950 m above sea level, approx. 23 km west of Yüksekova.
Büyükçiftlik is a traditional area of influence and settlement of the Pinyanişi tribe , who are mostly considered loyal to the state. In the vicinity of the village there are the ruins of a large city on the Orişe stream. These ruins are considered to be the possible remains of the capital of Musasir . The original name Büyükçiftliks was Hirvata. The name was changed between 1933 and 1975.
In 1990 there were 3,211 people in Büyükçiftlik, and in 2000 the village had 4,034 inhabitants.
