Karlı (kurd. Befircan ) is a village in the Yüksekova district of the Turkish province of Hakkâri . Karlı is located in Southeast Anatolia at 1,950 m above sea level, approx. 14 km south of Yüksekova.

Karlı means snowy or snowy . The Kurdish name Befircan comes from the word “Befir”, which also means “snow”. The name is registered with the land registry office in the form Befircan. This form is also documented in various censuses and two dictionaries of Ottoman place names.

In 1985, 3,317 people lived in Karlı. In 2009 the village had 1,318 inhabitants. The hamlets of Beşpınar (Kurd. Badawa), Çiçeközü (Kurd. Gewki), Karabağ (Kurd. Xirvateng) and Kilimli (Kurd. Member) belong to Karlı. In 2010, the health authorities learned that 15 people in the hamlet of Karabağ had died of cancer at the time and 7 other people were being treated. Despite several investigations, no cause for the accumulation could be determined.
