Akalın (Kurd. Bajerge ) is a village in Yüksekova County, Hakkâri Province . It is located in the southeast of Turkey , 3 km west of the county seat. Akalın is located at 2,140 m above sea level on the road between Yüksekova and Hakkâri . The original name was Bajirge.

In 2000 765 people lived here. and in 2009 a total of 914. The Yüksekova City Administration's development plan for 2010–2014 indicates the current number of registered residents as 886.

The village has a primary school. and a cemetery where many so-called martyrs of the PKK were buried. There are also seven members of the Govi ​​tribe who were captured by soldiers in 1996 and then shot.
