Albert Leicht (born March 1, 1922 in Hagenbach , district of Germersheim , † October 2, 1994 in Germersheim ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After graduating from the Humanistic Gymnasium in 1941, Leicht, who was a Roman Catholic , was called up for military service. His last rank at the end of the Second World War was a lieutenant. After the end of the war, he began studying law in Mainz . He passed the first state examination in 1949 and the second in 1953. After a short stint in a law firm, he entered the civil service and was initially a judge at the social court in Speyer . In 1955 he moved to the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Culture as a member of the government and in 1957 to the Bergzabern district .

From 1977 to 1983 Leicht was a member of the Court of Auditors of the European Communities .

Leicht was a member of the Catholic student union Kurpfalz Mainz in the KV .

Political party

Leicht had been a member of the CDU since 1946 and was district chairman for the district of Germersheim for many years.

MP

Leicht was a member of the district council in the district of Germersheim in the 1950s . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1957 until his resignation on October 24, 1977 . He has always entered the Bundestag as the directly elected member of the Speyer constituency . From 1957 to 1965 he was chairman of the Federal Parliament's audit committee . From 1969 until he left parliament he was chairman of the budget committee of the Bundestag.

Public offices

On April 12, 1967, he was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Finance in the Federal Government led by Federal Chancellor Kurt Georg Kiesinger . After the 1969 federal election , he left office on October 22, 1969.
