Albert Naudé

Albert Heinrich Ferdinand Naudé (born November 13, 1858 in Jüterbogk , † December 17, 1896 in Marburg ) was a German historian .

Life

Naudé had Huguenot ancestors. He was born in 1858 as the son of a councilor and lawyer. Naudé grew up in Jüterbogk and Potsdam . From 1879 to 1883 he studied philology and history at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin . He listened to u. a. Johann Gustav Droysen , Heinrich von Treitschke , Reinhold Koser and Gustav Schmoller . In 1883 he was at Harry Bresslau with the dissertation The falsification of the oldest Reinhardsbrunner certificates to Dr. phil. PhD. In 1888 he completed his habilitation. During his studies he joined the Association of German Students in Berlin .

In 1890 he became an associate professor for Prussian history and auxiliary sciences in Berlin. From 1893 to 1896 he was a full professor of modern history at the University of Marburg . His academic students included a. Gustav Berthold Volz , Moritz von Rauch and Georg Küntzel . He could no longer take up his professorship in Freiburg im Breisgau .

He was buried in the old cemetery in Potsdam. His brother was the economic historian Wilhelm Naudé .
