history
The place arose after the subdivision of the Vorwerk in Stare Bielsko ( Old Bielsko ) in the late 18th century. The name is inherited from Aleksander Sułkowski, the son of Aleksander Józef Sułkowski and Duke of Bielitz . As an independent municipality in Austrian Silesia , district and judicial district Bielitz , it came into being after the abolition of patrimonial rule in the middle of the 19th century. In the years 1880 to 1910 the population increased from 1,797 in 1880 to 2,426 in 1910, there were predominantly German speakers (between 77.3% and 87.3%), also Polish speakers (22.1% in 1890) and Czech speakers (12 or 0.6% in 1890). In 1910 50.4% were Protestant, 47.5% Roman Catholic, there were 51 (2.1%) Jews and 2 other beliefs. It belonged to the Bielitz-Biala language island .
In 1920 after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and the end of the Polish-Czechoslovak border war , Aleksandrowice came to Poland. Aleksandrowice was incorporated into the city of Bielsko (since 1951 Bielsko-Biała) in 1938.
