Alexander Novotny

Alexander Novotny (born January 17, 1906 in Pula , † February 4, 1986 in Vienna ) was an Austrian historian .

Life

From 1959 to 1976 Novotny was a university professor in Graz , from 1968 to 1974 he was president of the Institute for Austrian Studies. He was particularly concerned with the recent history of Central Europe.
