Alexej Jaškin ( Russian Алексей Яшкин / Alexei Jaschkin; born July 27, 1965 in Krasnoyarsk , Russian SFSR ) is a former Czech - Russian ice hockey player who was under contract with HC Vsetín for many years and won a total of six championship titles with this club. Since 2005 he has been the sports director of VHK Vsetín , as the club is called today. His son Dmitrij Jaškin is also a hockey player.
Career
Alexej Jaškin began his career with Sdjuschor Sokol Krasnoyarsk , before he moved to SKA Novosibirsk in the second division of the Soviet Union, the Pervaya League , in 1986 . From 1988 he played with Chimik Woskressensk in the first-class Wysschaja Liga remained loyal to this club until 1993.
During the 1993/94 season he moved to the newly founded 1st division for HC Vsetín , with whom he rose to the extra league in 1994 . In the following seven years, Jaschkin won a total of six Czech championships with this club . In the 1997/98 season he reached the semi-finals of the European Hockey League with HC Vsetín , in which the Czech team failed at the eventual winner VEU Feldkirch .
Due to an injury, he missed the entire 2001/02 season. After the 2004/05 season he moved to the third division of the Czech Republic for HC Valašské Meziříčí and was also the sports director of Vsetínská hokejová , as HC Vsetín called itself from 2003. In the playdowns of the 2005/06 season, he completed one last Extraliga game for his club.
