Alhambra is a municipality (with the status " Village ") in Madison County in the west of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois . In 2010 the Alhambra had 681 inhabitants.
The city is located in the eastern part of the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area called Metro-East around the city of St. Louis in neighboring Missouri .

Alhambra is on the northeastern edge of the suburban area of St. Louis. The Mississippi , which forms the border with the state of Missouri, is 22 miles to the west.
