Fairmont City is a small town in St. Clair and Madison County in the west of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois . In 2000, Fairmont City had 2,436 residents.
The city is located not far from the east bank of the Mississippi River in the middle of the eastern suburb area called Metro-East in Illinois around the city of St. Louis in Missouri .
