Bethalto is a village in Madison County in the west of the US -amerikanischen state of Illinois . In 2000, Bethalto had 9,454 residents.
Bethalto is not far from the Mississippi River and is part of the region called Metro-East , which includes the eastern part of the Illinois metropolitan area around St. Louis in Missouri .
