Alice Pol (born December 3, 1982 in Saint-Pierre on La Reunion ) is a French actress . Since 2003 she has appeared in around three dozen film and television productions, mostly comedies .

Live and act

Alice Pol was born in Saint-Pierre in the French overseas department of La Réunion in 1982 . Her father did his military service on the island in the Indian Ocean . When she was six months old, her parents moved to Marseille , where she grew up until she was 19. As a young girl she fell in love with the singer Renaud Séchan , and later with various soccer players from Olympique Marseille . Even as a teenager, she had taken an interest in the theater. Her childlike career aspiration to be on stage as an assistant to a magician therefore took a back seat to her desire to become an actress with increasing age and inner maturity. Her admiration was now for the film icon Catherine Deneuve .

She took acting lessons for the first time at the age of 15 . While they initially Jura and art history studies, she traveled regularly to Paris in order to attend auditions to participate. Eventually she moved entirely to the French capital. The first four years were difficult years in which she worked as a waitress and saleswoman to make ends meet.

In 2003 she got a small role in the television film Fragile by Jean-Louis Milesi. She gained further acting experience through work in theater productions , for example in 2004 in the satirical drama Das Liebeskonzil by Oskar Panizza , directed by Olivier Maltinti. This was followed by roles in several short films and appearances in episodes of the French soap operas Plus Belle la vie , Sous le Soleil and others. These small casts helped her not to give up: “I'm not ashamed of it. On the contrary, these experiences gave me hope, ”she said in the interview. She used her time without engagement to write her own piece C'est tout droit… ou l'inverse in 2006 , which was accepted by the Comédie Bastille Theater and then by its audience. In 2009 she played the landowner in the comedy - one-act play Der Bär by Anton Chekhov at the Théâtre Lepic / Ciné 13 in Paris, run by Claude Lelouch .

In 2008 she became known to a wider audience in France for her supporting role alongside Marilou Berry and Frédérique Bel in Jean-Patrick Benes' film Vilaine . In 2009 she starred in the TV film Juste un peu d '@ mour . This was followed by appearances in Die anonymous Romantiker ( Les Émotifs anonymes , 2010) by Jean-Pierre Améris on the side of Isabelle Carré and La croisière (2011) by Pascale Pouzadoux on the side of Charlotte de Turckheim .

Director Pascal Chaumeil ( The Order Over) noticed her in a commercial for IKEA . He gave her the role of Diane Kruger's sister in The Next, Please! ( Un Plan Parfait , 2012). Dany Boon also participated. This collaboration in turn made an impression on Boon, who offered Pol the female lead in his comedy Super-Hypochonder ( Supercondriaque , 2014). So it happened that she shot with Kad Merad , who is also very well known in German-speaking countries . Because of her bumbling nature, Boon called her "the female Pierre Richard ".

After the breakthrough came important roles in films by Claude Lelouch ( Un + une , 2015), Danièle Thompson ( My time with Cézanne / Cézanne et moi , 2016), and Guillaume Gallienne ( Maryline , 2017). Dany Boon picked up in 2016 for his comedy The Super Cops - Always Crazy! ( RAID dingue ) back on Pol, as she seemed to him to be the perfect embodiment of the "spoiled" and clumsy policewoman. In 2018 she appeared in a double role in Christophe Duthuron's comedy Les Vieux fourneaux . Here she played with Pierre Richard. Other films followed in quick succession.
