history

On January 1, 1972, the village of Altmannsberg with Matzenhof , Ritzermühle , Simbach and Wackersberg was incorporated into Holnstein with Butzenberg and Rudersdorf . On May 1, 1978, this community was incorporated into Berching.

St. John and Paul

St. John and Paul is a hall church with an east tower from the 13th century. Remodeling took place in the 14./15. Century and 18th century. In the vicinity of the church there is also a ground monument with finds from the Middle Ages and early modern times.

In terms of church, Altmannsberg has belonged to the parish Holnstein in the deanery Neumarkt in Upper Palatinate since April 22, 1811 . Before that the place belonged to the parish of Waldkirchen .
