Alyssa Elaine Diaz (born September 7, 1985 in Northridge , California ) is an American actress . Since 2012 she can be seen as Gloria Cruz in the Lifetime series Army Wives .

life and career

Alyssa Diaz was born in Northridge , near the city of Los Angeles . Their ancestors are of Colombian and Mexican descent. She also has a brother. She attended Bishop Alemany High School .

After Diaz had made her acting debut in an episode of The Brothers Garcia in 2001, she appeared in an episode of CSI: Miami in 2004 . Her first major role was that of Celia Ortega in the soap opera Young and Passionate - As Life So Plays by the station CBS , which she embodied from February 9 to August 10, 2005. After other guest appearances in series such as The Unit - A Question of Honor , CSI: NY , Southland and Lie to Me , the role of Jasmine in The Nine Lives of Chloe King and an appearance in Law & Order: LA followed in 2011 . In 2012 Diaz was both in an episode of Dr. Dani Santino - Game of Life and Revolution can also be seen in the film Red Dawn . She also appeared in four episodes of the Vampire Diaries .
